Cherie Chalmers

My name is Cherie and I have been working in the childcare industry at Mulberry Tree since 2012 and I hold my Diploma in Children’s Services. I strive on providing an Out of School Hours centre that is welcoming, inclusive and a place where children and families feel safe, secure, and supported and they are able to build strong relationships with the educators. I enjoy seeing the children transitioning through their years of schooling and seeing their knowledge, learning and personalities develop over their primary school years. I believe that if children feel comfortable and supported within their environment they will learn to the best of their ability. I believe children thrive in homely environments that are created based upon the children’s current interests. We ensure the children have engaging, fun and interest based activities for the children to participate in during their sessions at Mulberry Tree.
