At Mulberry Tree we offer your child:

Lots of fun

We aim to provide fun and friendship for all children in our care. Children have lots of playtime with other children and adult carers.

Constant Supervision

Every child in our care is under constant supervision by our qualified and experienced carers.

Nutritious meals

All our cooks have "Start Right/Eat Right" nutrition training and our menus provide a balanced and nutritious diet. We will cater for any individual dietary needs your child may have. Meal costs are included in fees. All centres have "FoodSafe" certification.

Regular rest times

A typical Mulberry Tree day has lots of fun activities so we balance this by also giving your child the opportunity to rest every day.

A spotless environment

We aim for the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. For example, floors are cleaned every day, we try to reduce chemical use, we regularly clean and disinfect toys, we have procedures for washing hands.

Safety and security

The safety and security of your child is of prime importance to us. For example our staff will only hand your children over to you or another adult you have nominated; all staff are trained for emergency evacuations; every centre has staff members with first aid qualifications and also police clearances.

Education and development

We have special development programs covering areas such as social skills, hand-eye coordination and language. The programs are based on play, are lots of fun and are designed to enhance your child's optimum development.

We also offer:

• Music & dance classes,
• Introductory reading classes - by "Letterland",
• Excursions to interesting places (e.g. zoo, fun factory),
• Special Activities (e.g. Grandparent Days, Christmas parties, celebrating children's birthdays),
• Exciting visitors (e.g. police, nurse, the fire brigade, baby animals, story-tellers).

Pre-school program

We also have a kindergarten and pre-school at some centres. Qualified and experienced teachers conduct programs which are fun and comply with the curriculum requirements of the WA Education Department. These programs provide a great start for children about to enter school with the added convenience of childcare before and after the programs.

School-Age Children

We provide a fun and safe environment for 6-12 year old children. We also drop off and pick-up from local schools and vacation care during school holidays. We offer this as a separate service for school-age children.

Peace of mind

All centres are accredited with the National Child Care Accreditation Council. Our staff are selected for their caring and compassionate nature as much as for their qualifications and experience. We have an "open door" policy which means we will listen to you at all times, and we welcome and value your input into the running of our centres.

The Services You Need

Our wide range of services include:

• Full-time, part-time and occasional care
• Before and after school care (including school pick-ups and drop-offs)
• Vacation care (with lots of fun activities and excursions)
• One-on-one care for children with special needs (at no extra cost to you)
• Kindergarten/pre-school program

We provide services for families of all economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and respect the individual rights of all families.

When are we open?

Our opening times at present are the same for all centres; Opening at 7:00AM and closing at 6:00PM, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year. Please ask the centre coordinator.

How much will it cost?

Mulberry Tree Childcare is committed to providing affordable quality care for all families.

The amount you pay is dependent on the amount of Child Care Benefit you receive. The Commonwealth Government provides Child Care Benefit which is means tested (the amount you receive depends on how much you earn. Centrelink pays the benefit directly to the childcare centre, so you only have to pay the gap between the benefit and the full fee.

Please speak to the Coordinator of the centre who will be happy to provide you with an estimate of your Child Care Benefit and the gap payment. The Co-ordinator can also help you to apply for the benefit.
