Mulberry Tree KARRINYUP
Why you will find us wonderful?
At Mulberry Tree child care Karrinyup the most common comment and compliment we receive is “It feels like a warm place to be”. Many families when they visit comment on the environment and notice the emphasis we place on parent and child relationships. We understand that families are looking for a “home away from home” where their child/children can feel happy and comfortable to excel in their development.
Our Centre Manager Sammy leads a team of educators who are all enthusiastic and experienced with many of our fabulous staff being mothers themselves, they can relate to your own feelings and experiences as a parent. We understand that beginning childcare can be an emotional time for both parents and children, and as a result we endeavour to make your child’s transition from home to child care as relaxing and smooth as possible. We provide new families the opportunity to participate in the daily routines with their child until both you and your child feel safe and secure to take the next step. Parents can often be seen participating in meal times, art activities, excursions and centre events.
We pride ourselves on being flexible to fit in with every family’s personal routines and traditions, we have a good understanding that every family has different ideas and values that they feel their child should practice, we encourage children and parents to continue to incorporate these values into our centre. At Mulberry Tree Karrinyup we offer an exciting and diverse range of age appropriate experiences for the children on a daily basis, from home corner play, gardening – growing our own herbs and vegetables, painting and sensory activities such as nature tables and sand play. The kindy children regularly walk across the road to Karrinyup Library to participate in library activities, to read a quiet story with the carers and to socialise and interact with the library staff. We always welcome parents and families to join us on our regular outings and use this opportunity to build relationships between carers and children.
Keep an eye out for the fun events calendar activities offered by the centre such as “open days” so families have the opportunity to get to know the other local families and children that attend our service. Many families find these events a wonderful opportunity to socialize and network with other parents of young children.
Our staff are very knowledgeable and will offer assistance with any questions you might have, we feel privileged to be part of this very special and exciting time that never seems to last long enough! And we will continue to make everyday your child spends with us a happy childhood memory. This is why our parents find us Wonderful.
Mulberry Tree Karrinyup works closely with Mulberry Tree Kids Club Karrinyup who run a dedicated out of school hours care service for Karrinyup Primary School.
“My eldest son started day care at the Mt Claremont centre about 2 years a go. We then decided to follow Sammy to Karrinyup as we knew that our boy was in good hands with her at the helm. My youngest son has just started his day care journey.
Sammy the Centre Manager is so professional and passionate about her job. She knows all the children and family members by name. Every time I have had a concern, request or question she has listened to me, made me feel valued and important and followed through on anything we have discussed. When other people might feel frustrated that I have questioned something or analysed something in an in depth way Sammy has used it as an opportunity to think about things differently and to work with me. I so appreciate that in her. She is a fantastic listener. She has gone out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She genuinely cares about the friends, parents and her job. It shows in the enthusiasm and interest she takes in what we have to say and what is going on at the centre. Today is his first day at Karrinyup and this morning she sent me a picture of my youngest boy happily exploring day care. She knew how much his anxiety at being left at day care broke my heart (even though I know it will be good for him in the long run) and knew that sending a happy picture like that would brighten my day. This is just one example of her going the extra mile to look after her customers. She is a ray of sunshine. One must only look at the love and care she pours into bunny rabbit Poppy to see her caring and giving nature. Not only is she professionally competent but she is a compassionate, friendly, engaging, lovely person. I have such peace of mind sending my precious boys to day care knowing she is leading the team.”
