Mulberry Tree Leeming is one of our newest Mulberry Tree locations, with the child care service becoming a Mulberry Tree in July 2012. The Centre Manger – Helen has over 14 years experience as a child care professional and believes it is important that the centre provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for parents and children.
At Mulberry Tree Leeming educators make the children their focus and encourage active exploration and nurture each childs curiosity and sense of wonder. By having a clear understanding of each child’s needs we can promote their learning through positive interactions and inclusive daily routines.
Mulberry Tree Leeming boasts welcoming outdoor areas that provide safe environments for children to explore with large spacious shaded areas providing protection all year around. Our fun indoor environment consists of three large rooms – Babies (0-2 years), Toddlers (2-3 years) and Kindy (3-5 years). Each room provides opportunities for children to explore and extend their growing imaginations. Children attending our fun and friendly centre are offered a variety of activities based on their development and interests.
Children are very busy during the day participating in the many experiences on offer such as singing, group games, craft activities, outdoor play and quiet times. At every stage of development Mulberry Tree Leeming provides opportunities for learning. You’ll find that some of our babies are learning to rollover, sit up or are becoming very independent and trying to walk. Our babies room educators provide a fun and interesting way to encourage all of these exciting milestones. The educators in our toddlers room are caring and always exude patience. They are keenly aware that it can be very frustrating for active toddlers to learn to share, climb, feed themselves and master grown up things like going to the toilet but these are all achieved eventually with guidance, encouragement and of course when a child is ready. Our Kindy room is always buzzing with the curiosity of confident little learners. Being ever inquisitive and always exploring their world the kindy room provides opportunities for children to be active participants in their learning journey.
At Mulberry Tree we pride ourselves on providing the best care possible for your children, ensuring your children are our focus. All of our staff hold a working with children check, first aid certificates and either have an early childhood qualification or are studying toward gaining their Certificate 3 in child care or Diploma in Children’s Services. At all times we ensure we have educators onsite who have completed Emergency Asthma Management Training and Anaphylaxis Management Training.
Mulberry Tree strives to ensure we are leaders in the child care industry. We do this by ensuring our staff regularly attend training seminars to keep up with the most current recommendations in the industry and for their own personal development. This enables us to consistently provide Early Education programs to extend the development of children in our care.
We welcome input from parents and the wider community into the children’s educational programs. We love parent participation, so if you have a skill that can be shared, why not volunteer an hour of your time to contribute to enriching the experiences of the children at the centre. As each child’s journey at child care progresses it is captured in a developmental portfolio which contains observations of their time spent at the centre, their achievement of developmental milestones along with photos and some of their craft master pieces. This portfolio also makes a wonderful keepsake which reflects on the child’s journey through their early development. Everyone is welcome at Mulberry Tree Leeming including Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles. Our door is always open, so please feel free to drop for a visit and a chat anytime convenient to you. We look forward to meeting you soon.
