Our staff are all enthusiastic and experienced with many of our fabulous staff being mothers themselves, they can relate to your own feelings and experiences as a parent. We understand that beginning childcare can be an emotional time for both parents and children, and as a result we endeavour to make your child’s transition from home to child care as relaxing and smooth as possible. We provide new families the opportunity to participate in the daily routines with their child until both you and your child feel safe and secure to take the next step. Parents can often be seen participating in meal times, art activities, excursions and centre events.
We pride ourselves on being flexible to fit in with every family’s personal routines and traditions, we have a good understanding that every family has different ideas and values that they feel their child should practice, we encourage children and parents to continue to incorporate these values into our centre.
At Mulberry Tree Karrinyup we offer an exciting and diverse range of age appropriate experiences for the children on a daily basis, from home corner play, gardening – growing our own herbs and vegetables, painting and sensory activities such as nature tables and sand play. The kindy children regularly walk across the road to Karrinyup Library to participate in library activities, to read a quiet story with the carers and to socialise and interact with the library staff. We always welcome parents and families to join us on our regular outings and use this opportunity to build relationships between carers and children.
Keep an eye out for the fun events calendar activities offered by the centre such as “open days” so families have the opportunity to get to know the other local families and children that attend our service. Many families find these events a wonderful opportunity to socialize and network with other parents of young children.
Our staff are very knowledgeable and will offer assistance with any questions you might have, we feel privileged to be part of this very special and exciting time that never seems to last long enough!
