At Mulberry Tree Pre-School Glendalough we like to think of ourselves as a boutique early learning programme for children aged three to four years old. Conveniently located just off the freeway near the Powis street exit, we are simply a 10 min walk from Glendalough train station.
We offer educational pre-school programmes in both rooms which are designed and implemented by qualified educators in the Early Childhood sector. At Mulberry Tree Pre-School Glendalough we use the Early Years Learning Framework Curriculum, and have devised a pedagogy inspired by Reggio Emilia principals. This along with seeing the children as competent and capable learners in their community, enables children to become effective learners and assists them to reach their full potential.
The Pre-School building itself has been newly renovated and now consists of two spacious rooms in a large indoor open plan layout whilst providing a homely feel to promote the children’s sense of safety and well being. This allows each child to have the opportunity to explore their environment, discover, investigate imagine and create meaningful experiences in meaningful contexts.
The outdoor area boasts a natural landscape, with so many wonders to discover and explore right on our doorstep, inquiry and play based learning happen naturally. This play based learning allows children to develop critical thinking, imagination and communication skills. With the unique skill of story telling and making, children develop the communication skills necessary to ensure active participation in the community in which they live.
